I must say nothing infuriates me more than seeing people purchasing animals (cats, dogs, teacup pigs) from breeders or pet shops for hundreds or thousands of dollars when so many animals sit in shelters and rescues waiting to be adopted, and waiting to find their forever home. It does not just infuriate me but upsets, confuses and saddens me to think that we have 3-4 million dogs being euthinzaed in shelters because people are more considered with having the "instyle" designer dog.
My passion for animal rights and welfare has always been strong but the feeling inside of me has grown tremendously since coming to college.
I hope to do all I can in my future, whether it be volunteering, fostering or donating, to help increase awareness and decrease the number of euthanizations on shelter animals annually.
K so I must admit....I have a love for a website. It's called Society6 and I just love everything about it.
Not only can you buy super cool phone cases, artwork and t-shirts but you can buy the same style in every type of product.
Say you just love a certain owl artwork piece, well that means you can buy that same print in a phone case, t-shirt, hoodie, pillow, canvas and totes! What a good deal right? The only downside is they are a tad pricey...but I think their products are worth it!
The other day I was browsing in TGW, for all you non-golfers out there that is The Golf Warehouse.
I had been seeing all the hype about Adidas new golf shoe coming out because all the tour players were already wearing their pairs along with the commercials. I tried a pair on and WOW. They weren't kidding when they said it felt like you weren't wearing a shoe on your foot.
After wearing the shoes for only 15 minutes I felt like I could walk 54 holes in one day and not have my feet hurt.
I did not try on this shoe above because they didn't have it in stock but based on how light the men's spike shoe was, I can't imagine this one being any less amazing. Plus gotta love the purple...I should remember to suggest these to coach for next season. ;)
I did try on the adizero sport version which are spikeless. These felt even lighter than Nike FreeRuns...which is saying something. I would definitely invest the $100 for these as amazing practice shoes.
Bottom line....hats off to you Adidas for revolutionizing the golf shoe.
So it has been over a year since my last post....and boy has so much happened!
I really wanted to get back into blogging because it seems all the careers and internships I am wanting to pursue involve heavy social media involvement. So what better time than the present to learn about the blogging world?
I think I want to focus my blog on all my interests which include; animal welfare, everything in the golf world, communication, business, journalism and photography!
This post I figured I'd review some of my favorite SuperBowl ads from last night's game.
This Budweiser Clydesdale commercial was my absolute FAVORITE....I mean what is not to love about a heart-warming story packed into a minute long commercial? Plus it has horses :)
I found Audi's "Prom Night" commercial to be so endearing and such a relatable story for all youth with the typical dateless guy for the dance but revamped when his dad's gives him the keys to the Audi.
I am enrolled in a persuasion course right now so I am much more attuned to all the different advertising ploys at work right now and how persuasion is a constant force trying to get us to buy the product or watch the movie.
I promise it won't be another year till my next post.
